Nature Therapy

“When you are at a loss, put your ear to the forest floor, or the bark of a tree, or tilt it toward the clouds. See what wordless language points you along your path.”
Lyanda Lynn Haupt

Spending time in nature has been a fulfulling experience and valued practice for centuries. Our modern society often distracts us and widens the gap between nature and humans. In reality, we are nature and nature is us. Spending time in nature is coming home to ourselves and our interconnectivity with all things.

We’ve all felt that connection and peace before - when we spend time with our dog on the couch, listen to bird calls announcing the start of spring or smelling that crisp autumn air as the seasons change.

Booking a nature therapy session is a very creative, open process… each session looking different than the next. Some people book a session regularly, while others do it sporadically when they’d like to check-in with themselves. Activities during these sessions vary but often include light walking, mindfulness prompts, journaling, breathwork, stillness, sensory exploration and more.

Cultivating a relationship with nature is good for our health - known to lower blood pressure, ease stress, boost immunity, stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system and more. But even more than that, it deepens our relationship with ourselves and our world bringing more presence and more life to our lives.
